Weekend Recap – Sharks vs Nordiques – December 7-8, 2024

🧹 The Long Beach Sharks swept the Maine Nordiques! 🧹

Saturday night the Sharks came out fast and Jackson Hampton opened the scoring for the Sharks. Alec Dahlvang had a breakout game with a goal and 2 assists.  Mason Jackson and Michal Stojka also contributed to the Sharks offense with a goal a piece. Turner England had a great game in net for the Sharks helping to secure the win.

Sunday the Sharks fell behind early 1-0 but got a late goal in the first by Jackson Hampton once again to tie it up at 1. Maine scored two early ones to start the second period before the Sharks broke out with 5 unanswered goals to secure a 6-3 win. JD DiTommaso had a big game with a goal and 2 assists.  Sam O’Neil lit the lamp on the power play while Spencer Nicoloff scored his first career goal as a Junior.  Mason Jackson and Michal Stojka rounded out the scoring, each with goals in both games this weekend.  The Sharks special teams were excellent on Sunday.  Leading the penalty kill unit was Devon Fay, Mason Jackson, Ross Temple, and Alec Dahlvang on forward and Colton Kozma, TJ Lotz, Ryan Long, and Jay Montgomery on the back end.  Kameron Ragon came on in relief in the second and shut the door stopping all shots faced in the win.

The Sharks head back on the road Wednesday, December 11th to take on the New Jersey Titans.  Puck drop is at 1pm.  Tune into NAHL TV to catch all the action.
